Packaging Buyer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Packaging Buyer to join our team. This role will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing all packaging materials and related supplies used in production, retail, and e-commerce operations. The ideal candidate combines strong negotiation / multi-tasking skills with a deep understanding of packaging design, materials & supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and purchase packaging materials, including boxes, labels, inserts, and custom printed items.
• Manage vendor relationships - negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times.
• Collaborate with the marketing and production teams to ensure packaging meets branding and operational requirements.
• Maintain inventory levels of packaging materials across multiple facilities.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Review and approve packaging proofs, ensuring compliance with food safety and sustainability standards.
• Work Closely with logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain accurate purchase records and assist in budget tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration , or related field (preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in packaging / category management
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging and materials sourcing
• Proficiency with ERP & inventory management systems
• Excellent organizational & multi-tasking abilities.
