What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead position at CARLEX?
Essential Job Functions
• Monitor safe work behaviors of all team members
• Report unsafe work conditions, behavior and/or follow safety rules to Plant leadership as needed
• Assist the team in meeting the quality, yield, volume and changeover objectives set by Plant leadership
• Conduct on-the-job-training for all new team members and ensure training objectives are met
• Enforce attendance policy
• Assist in the training of all technicians in safety, quality inspections and production
• Monitor quality and cycle times and immediately report deviations to standards
• Ensure process check sheets are completed & meet company standards
• Audit process check sheets & proper documentation
• Ensure the line is properly equipped with everything that is needed for the day
• Ensure all documentation is complete and verified to be accurate
• Provide relief for team members during breaks/lunches
• Troubleshoot, assist in equipment tear down, PMs, and operation resumption as quickly as possible
• Monitor team members to assure they are meeting the company KPI’s
• Organize and perform housekeeping, cleaning, rework, etc. as needed
• Participate in each shift change meeting
• Report any deficiencies or issues in a timely manor to the Production Supervisor or Plant leadership when necessary
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required Years of Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Other Requirements:
• Glass Manufacturing process knowledge preferred
• Must be willing and able to work all available shifts
• Reliable transportation
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn and follow procedures while working safely in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis
• Excellent analytical skills
