What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician position at Carlex Glass Manufacturing?
Essential Job Functions
- Operate industrial equipment safely and productively.
- Lead/monitor processes and investigate causes of defects.
- Conduct visual inspection of products
- Review procedures and processes and make adjustments as needed to improve operations.
- Achieve operator certification in all functions worked
- Train new hire production associates in the manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Regular attendance, report to work on time for all scheduled shifts, and complete all shifts.
- Work overtime as required.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Work with internal and external customers on quality issues.
- Generate and maintain appropriate records as required.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as required by Supervisor or Team Lead.
- Participate and embrace continuous improvement (LEAN) actions.
- Work and participate in a team environment
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School diploma or GED required
Experience:
- 1-2 years of machine operator experience in industrial manufacturing or equivalent required, 3 preferred
Other Requirements:
- Punctual and consistent attendance required
- Able to work beyond required scheduled hours as needed
- Works in a safe manner and in compliance with EHS polices and procedures
- Be able to work independently or in a team setting
- Ability to complete ongoing training and development
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts or alternate work schedules (depending on the Plant to which assigned)
- Available to work afternoon shift or night shift
