As our Electromechanical Process Technician, you’ll ensure every press run starts with dialed-in tooling and every cycle ends with better yield, less scrap, and steady flow through the press, shuttle, and lehr (annealing) areas.
Your Mission
- Pre-run, inspect offline press station components—mechanical, electrical, pneumatic—and coordinate maintenance scheduling with maintenance and engineering partners.
- Between runs, evaluate complete tooling sets offline; manage mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic upkeep so each tool is fully operational before use.
- Set up tooling to exact engineering setpoints; collaborate with Engineering to fine-tune setups for uptime and product quality.
- When faults appear, join root cause analysis on press station, shuttle, and annealing section issues; document findings and corrective actions.
- Log precise, digital measurements and adjustments for tooling and press stations.
- Perform basic electrical and pneumatic work plus intermediate mechanical tasks to support equipment readiness.
- Continuously monitor processes and make targeted adjustments to boost yields, reduce waste, compress cycle times, and lower overall operating costs.
- Investigate defects at the source; train operations employees on process steps and quality checks; oversee work for defects during production.
- Arrive on time, complete scheduled shifts, support overtime as required, and contribute positively in team meetings.
- Stand on concrete for 12 hours and take on other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED; 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Reliability & Flexibility: Consistent attendance and willingness to shift schedules based on training/resource needs.
- Safety & Environment: Comfortable working on the production floor around plant equipment and safety hazards. Required PPE: steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and adherence to dress code.
