Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring, supplying and maintaining designated par levels of Nursing center units, and administrative supplies.
Maintains two week’s inventories in central supply areas.
Uses first in first out inventory, reviews product expiration dates.
Reviews vendor pricing for competitive rates, prepares cost comparisons as required, Utilizing AHSA associated vendors when practical.
Maintains purchase order system.
Reviews supply orders, including oxygen, reconciles purchase orders and packing slips and maintains files for reconciling with invoices.
Reconciles monthly budget and supply needs.
Assures that equipment is in proper working condition to include scales, blood pressure equipment, suction machines, bed and wheelchair monitors. Cleans according to protocols reusable equipment and maintains all storage areas are in appropriate condition.
Collects and disposes of sharps in the appropriate manner.
Maintains copy machines and supplies for all areas of the village.
Accountability:
Accountable to the Director of Nursing.
Responsible for general accounting, reporting functions, and assistance in budget preparation.
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school degree or equivalent.
- Experienced with computers and Microsoft products.
- Experienced in inventory management and ordering.
- Long term care or healthcare experience.
- Must be capable with working with a range of individuals including residents and professional staff.
