Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, adhering to quality standards and recipes
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately while maintaining balanced cash drawers
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries with enthusiasm
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring all food safety and food handling protocols are followed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without compromising quality or safety
Experience
- Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred, showcasing familiarity with beverage service and food preparation
- Strong retail sales transaction skills with experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent math skills
- Experience in food service environments emphasizing customer service excellence and food safety practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail in drink making and cashier duties
- Knowledge of basic food handling procedures and beverage preparation techniques is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
