Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, monitor patient health, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Provide medication reminders and help with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in condition
- Support patients with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition
- Assist with transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safety
- Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light cleaning tasks
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual needs
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to supervisors or healthcare providers
- Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities
- Engage in patient monitoring to ensure safety and well-being during shifts
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience or training in caregiving roles such as home health, hospice care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes. Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are preferred. Experience with medication administration, care planning, patient observation, and working within HIPAA guidelines is essential. Familiarity with specialized care for dementia or Alzheimer's patients, use of mobility aids like Hoyer lifts, and managing residents' specific needs will be considered advantageous. A background in social work or home & community care is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate compassion, patience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
