Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring comfort and respect at all times
- Monitor participant health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences
- Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and safe transfer techniques to ensure safe mobility and prevent injury
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols
- Document care activities, observations, and communication with team members clearly and thoroughly in compliance with healthcare standards
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred
- Group home experience, assisted living experience, or nursing home background is advantageous
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care enhances your ability to provide specialized support
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques such as vital signs measurement and patient personal care assistance is essential
- Experience working with individuals with autism or neuro developmental disorders demonstrates versatility in caregiving skills
- Assisting with patient transfer methods ensuring effective support for participant mobility needs
