Caring Heart Rehab and Nursing is seeking a Dietetic Technician to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. The DTR works under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian to support nutrition care services and promote the health and wellbeing of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct nutrition screenings and assist with nutritional assessments
Support development and implementation of individualized nutrition care plans
Monitor and document resident progress and dietary needs
Provide nutrition education to residents and families
Collaborate with dietitians, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
Assist with compliance of dietary services and food safety standards
Support nutrition documentation within the electronic medical record system
Participate in quality improvement and resident care planning
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Dietetic Technician program
Active Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Experience in long-term care or healthcare nutrition preferred
Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and dietary guidelines
Experience with electronic health records or nutrition software preferred
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
