Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies to deliver products along assigned routes.
• Load, unload, and secure automobile transportation cargo using proper lifting techniques and safe lifting practices.
• Navigate route schedules efficiently, adjusting as needed to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and offering product recommendations or upselling opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and route documentation to ensure compliance and organizational efficiency.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route updates, delivery issues, or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record and familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Strong math skills for accurate pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management.
• Experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation preferred; military driving experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and sales strategies including upselling products.
• Organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and maintain detailed records.

Pay: $25.55 - $30.77 per hour
