Performs nuclear medicine procedures tailored to patient needs, ensuring compliance with Parkland and regulatory standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
No prior experience necessary.
Must hold active MRT certification from the Texas Medical Board and obtain ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT within 6 months.
Requires current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
Possesses thorough knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, chemistry, physics, and biomedical sciences, with basic understanding of EKG, and proficiency in operating Gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, PET/CT scanners, and related equipment.
Responsibilities include performing quality control, troubleshooting equipment, collaborating with physicians, documenting procedures and radioisotope handling, and ensuring compliance with laws and standards.
Provides clinical instruction to students and residents, stays updated on industry advancements, fosters positive interdepartmental relationships, and adheres to regulatory guidelines to improve processes and patient care.
