Performs nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with patient needs, regulations, and hospital standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
No prior experience necessary.
Must hold an active MRT certification from the Texas Medical Board and obtain ARRT or CNMT certification within 6 months.
Must complete a Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
Possesses thorough knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, including chemistry, physics, and biomedical sciences.
Skills include operating Gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, PET/CT scanners, and cardiac stress equipment, along with administering injections and understanding nuclear medicine treatments.
Responsibilities include performing quality control on equipment, consulting with physicians, documenting procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Provides clinical instruction, stays current on industry advancements, fosters positive interdepartmental relationships, and develops internal controls to ensure legal and accreditation adherence.
