About the Role
CargoLoop is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Container Switcher to support daily yard and warehouse operations at our Elizabeth, NJ facility. This role is essential to keeping our terminal running efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Move sea containers between the warehouse dock and yard locations safely and efficiently
- Operate yard equipment, including riding jacks or forklifts (basic experience required)
- Ensure proper handling and awareness of how sea containers react during movement
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with managers and team members
- Support additional operational tasks as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications
- CDL preferred but not required
- Previous experience with sea containers or yard operations is a plus
- Ability to lift/move 10–50 lbs regularly and occasionally over 100 lbs
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, push, pull, and balance as part of daily duties
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Reliable transportation and consistent on-time attendance
Compensation
- Up to $23 per hour, based on experience
