Carex is partnering with a global manufacturing company to hire multiple Mechanical Engineers for contract roles through March 2026, with potential for extension. These positions will support the design and development of functional, cost-effective, and reliable heavy-duty vehicle components. Openings are available for a range of experience levels — from early career to senior engineers — with opportunities to lead, mentor, or grow technical skills in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

These are onsite roles located in Oshkosh, WI.

What You’ll Do

Depending on experience level, you may:

• Design or re-design components for heavy-duty vehicle systems, ensuring safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness
• Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and modeling to support vehicle or component optimization
• Collaborate across disciplines and with suppliers to ensure alignment with performance, manufacturing, and compliance requirements
• Develop and maintain 3D/2D CAD models, layouts, and engineering drawings using Creo and Windchill
• Evaluate and select materials, components, and subsystems
• Prepare and maintain documentation including specifications, bills of material (BOMs), proposals, reports, and technical presentations
• Support production with technical guidance and resolve engineering-related issues as they arise
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work (for mid and senior-level roles)
• Lead or manage projects of limited to moderate complexity (for senior roles)
  
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Entry-Level Roles:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• At least 6 months of relevant engineering experience (internship or industry)
• Familiarity with CAD systems and basic engineering principles
• Mid-Level Roles:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1–3 years of mechanical design or vehicle systems experience
• Proficiency with Creo, PTC, Windchill, and Microsoft Office
• Experience with vehicle, automotive, or heavy equipment systems
• Senior-Level Roles:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or guide less experienced engineers
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $40.00 – $58.00/hour (based on level and experience)
