Summary

Carex is partnering with a Energy and Utilities industry partner to find a Workday Functional Lead responsible for leading key HR functional areas across Time, Absence, Payroll, and HCM. This role will drive Workday configuration efforts, guide design decisions, support testing activities, and partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with operational needs. The ideal candidate brings deep Workday configuration experience, strong functional knowledge, and the ability to manage priorities and risks in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the planning and build of Workday Time and Absence prototype tenants and support migration to Production
• Drive design decisions and ensure alignment across other areas of the Workday HCM system
• Oversee and execute system testing to support successful implementation and deployment
• Partner with business subject matter experts to validate requirements and ensure appropriate system configuration
• Translate unique business needs into effective Workday configuration solutions
• Identify and escalate risks as appropriate to support project success
  
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• 7 years of experience in Workday configuration
• Strong experience with HCM systems and the technical aptitude to configure Workday to meet business requirements
• Expertise across Workday functional areas including Time, Absence, Payroll, and HCM
• Ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain momentum across project phases
• Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
