Nottingham Pet Clinic is a well-established small animal clinic located in Syracuse, NY. Our practice is loved by the community for the kindness and compassion we provide. We offer wellness care and sick exams, as well as routine soft tissue surgeries and basic dental surgeries. We are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our amazing team! Our current hours of operation are 8 am - 5 pm M-F. Applicants must have weekend availability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must be able to multi-task and work well in a team. Our clinic is a fast-paced environment, and the successful applicant will be able to keep up with a busy office and will be able to perform well under pressure. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Takes medical histories and vital signs of patients.
- Intake/discharge of hospitalized & surgical patients
- Proficient in venipuncture, radiology, anesthesia monitoring.
- Maintains client educational material in an efficient manner.
- Communicate doctor orders clearly to clients.
- Performs housekeeping duties.
- Takes, processes prescription refills in-house, call out pharmacy and online pharmacy.
- Restraining and assisting the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
- Able to perform dentistry
- Other duties as assigned.
