The C.A.R.E.S. Day Program, located in East Stroudsburg, is a unique, community-based program where individuals focus on volunteering and recreational activities while maximizing life skills, pre-vocational skills and social skills. Our goal is to ensure that individuals are not just in the community, but are known as a valuable part of their community.
This position is a part-time, fill-in-as-needed position. The hours of the program are Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, with transportation between 8 am - 9 am in the morning and 3pm - 4pm in the afternoon.
As a Direct Support Professional you will take VIP's (that's what we call the participants in our programs!) to the library, bowling, volunteer sites, on picnics, as an example teaching them valuable life skills and creating social/recreation opportunities. CARES has a fleet of vehicles for transportation.
All candidates must be able to secure PA criminal, FBI, child abuse clearances and have a valid license and clean driving record.
