Responsibilities

• Confer with patients and their families to determine type of care needed and goals of therapy.
• Use psychotherapy, group therapy, or other modes of counseling to treat individuals or families experiencing mental illness or substance abuse problems.
• Devise ways to help individuals resolve conflicts with others.
• Provide therapy and group counseling services to consumers with substance abuse issues in group, individual, and court settings.
• Assist in crisis situations to include hospital placement for individuals as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Must have a Master or bachelor degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or other behavioral health field.
• Substance certification or licensure preferred or willing/able to obtain substance certification or licensure within 30 months of hire required to continue position.

Other

• Agency can provide supervision for licensure as well as substance certification.
• NHSC approved site. NHSC program provides student loan repayment for qualifying staff.
• Agency provides travel pay for all travel in your personal vehicle away from your home office base and also has agency vehicles for any consumer transport needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $41,900.00 per year
