ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
- Fabricate and assemble structure and custom components within provided specifications and company quality specifications.
- Fit up and tack weld as necessary to ensure they meet quality specifications/blueprints or diagrams.
- Set-up, operate, and maintain fabricating machines such as orbital/linear welders, shears, saws, grinders, drill presses; to fabricate and assemble metal components in accordance with specification.
- Build packaging and pack assemblies in accordance with assembly size.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and task sequences.
- Regularly check work to verify dimensions and make necessary adjustments so that product complies with the specifications. The ability to measure accurately is essential.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Reports defective materials or questions conditions to the department supervisor.
- Interface with computer to execute job completion and inventory transaction into databases.
- Complete documentation as required.
- Cross train as needed.
- Any other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives, or as assigned by the immediate supervisor

- Prerequisite Ability to perform the essential functions of Production Associate I & II
- Education High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience 3-5 yrs. of experience preferred or transferable knowledge from similar industries.
- Language and Communication Skills : The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
