Role Description
This is a part-time position for a Caregiver - service locations will be Williamsburg, Yorktown, Newport News, and Hampton, VA. The Caregiver will provide daily assistance to clients, including personal care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, as well as meal preparation and medication reminders. Additional responsibilities include light housekeeping, transportation for errands or appointments, companionship to promote emotional well-being, and adherence to care plans set by healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Experience with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Organizational skills for managing schedules, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for providing companionship and promoting client well-being
- Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to handle emergency situations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable for the role)
- Certification as a nursing assistant or home health aide is preferred but not required
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others
