Job Overview
CareGivers is looking for an RN Supervisor to join our team in the Schenectady NY area. This is not your typical nursing job. You’ll travel to client homes within our service area (primarily Schenectady & Albany Counties, but could also include Saratoga County) but you’ll be based out of our Schenectady NY office. Duties include performing staff supervision/on the job training in client homes, and conducting client assessments.
This is the perfect opportunity for a retired RN that still wants to make a difference in their community! Also great for RN’s looking to pick up extra hours, or for RN’s looking to work around school schedules. Part time hours offer great flexibility!
Job Opening: RN Supervisor
Branch: Schenectady, NY
Status: Part time, guaranteed a minimum of 10 hrs/week but could be up to 14 hours per week, primarily weekday daytime hours, flexible scheduling based on client/field employee schedule. (If you’re looking for more than 10 hours/week, there is additional work available with our sister company in Rensselaer County)
Rate: $35 – $40/ hour (depending on home care experience)
Reliable vehicle & valid driver’s license are a must for this position.
DUTIES: Responsible for ensuring that home care clients served by CareGivers receive the highest quality care by ongoing assessment of the client, supervising the implementation of the physician’s plan of treatment, developing a plan of care and evaluating client needs and employee performance. Additional duties may include med setups for clients, and performing insurance assessments.

Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in New York State, with at least one year experience as an RN (recent experience preferred)
- At least six months of supervisory experience is preferred
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.
- Knowledge of home health regulations is preferred but not required.
- Must have strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
- Must meet health requirements.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
