We are seeking a caring and passionate individual with a willingness to learn and who wants to make a positive impact in the lives of others. You will be working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and providing support, assistance and guidance to them as they participate in daily activities. You will also be assisting individuals with daily tasks and the development of social skills.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of developmental disabilities.
- Act as an informal advocate for clients.
- Manage the client's financial support and resources.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of care, treatment, and habilitation.
- Comprehend the theory and practice of specific behavioral treatments.
- Provide clients with a comforting environment in which to live and work.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
