Boat Day is seeking experienced, safety-driven captains to join our growing charter operation. This role is ideal for a professional who takes pride in vessel care, guest experience, and smooth, reliable on-water operations.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate a variety of vessels, including diesel-powered boats and outboards
- Perform engine pre-departure checklists and end-of-day shutdown procedures
- Navigate back bay, inshore, and offshore waters with confidence
- Operate and monitor onboard systems including marine electronics, HVAC, and 12/24-volt systems
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences on both fishing and pleasure charters
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and overall vessel care
- Operate with a proactive, safety-first mindset at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Current OUPV or Master’s License
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Enrolled in (or ready to enroll in) a drug consortium
- Charter vessel or professional boating experience preferred
- Familiarity with marine electronics (radar, sonar, VHF, Starlink)
- Fishing experience a plus (live bait, dead bait, trolling, bottom fishing)
- Personable, team-oriented, reliable, and professional
