PURPOSE:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to support the Cybersecurity organization, with a focus on awareness, training, communications, and engagement initiatives across the enterprise.

In this role, the intern will help strengthen the organizations cybersecurity culture by supporting communication campaigns, training programs, and strategic initiatives that promote security awareness and risk reduction. The intern will also gain exposure to broader cybersecurity functions and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives.

This role aligns with the organizations mission to drive awareness, engagement, and measurable improvements in cybersecurity posture through training and communication.

Essential Functions

• Support development and distribution of cybersecurity communications (e.g., newsletters, announcements, campaigns)
• Assist in planning and executing awareness initiatives such as Cybersecurity Awareness Month and targeted campaigns
• Help translate technical cybersecurity concepts into clear, user-friendly messaging for non-technical audiences
• Contribute to communication materials such as infographics, presentations, and internal web content
• Assist with the development and maintenance of cybersecurity training content and materials
• Support coordination of training programs, including targeted training and certification initiatives
• Help evaluate effectiveness of awareness and training programs and recommend improvements
• Document processes, standard operating procedures, and program artifacts
• Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives assigned by leadership
• Continuously develop technical and professional skills throughout the internship
  
  

Qualifications

Education Level: High School Diploma or GED. This position requires an individual working towards at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Three years of college experience. Junior or senior undergraduate student or masters student targeting majors in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team to perform daily work
• Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time
• Attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills including assisting with presentations
  
  

Salary Range: $18,720 - $26,000

The hire range posted is an annual rate. All intern positions will be paid hourly.
