Lakeside Foods is excited to announce an opening for a Senior Human Resources Generalistat our Weston, Oregon plant a high impact role responsible for talent strategy, employee relations, labor relations, compliance, and engagement across the facility.

This position has opened due to an upcoming retirement, offering a unique opportunity to step into a well established role and continue strengthening HR support for a key Lakeside Foods location. Experience with labor relations is essential for success in this position.

What You’ll Do

As Senior Human Resources Generalist, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to plant leaders and employees while guiding essential HR programs. You will:

• Lead full cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new hire orientation to support staffing needs across the facility.
• Partner with managers and Corporate HR to understand workforce requirements, coach on effective interviewing, and ensure consistent hiring practices.
• Provide guidance on performance management, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and employee development.
• Oversee employee relations, conduct investigations, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
• Administer benefits, leave programs, wellness initiatives, and maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records.
• Support organizational development efforts including performance reviews, development plans, and succession planning.
• Lead labor relations activities, including managing grievances, interpreting the labor agreement, preparing job postings, and participating as a member of the company bargaining committee.
• Coordinate seasonal workforce processes, including migrant labor planning, compliance requirements, and agency relationships.
• Build positive relationships throughout the plant, uphold Lakeside’s cultural values, and support employee engagement initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
• 5 years of HR experience (required), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in labor relations, including contract interpretation and grievance management (required).
• Strong knowledge of employment laws (EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, etc.).
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship building skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
• SHRM CP, PHR certification, or previous supervisory experience (preferred).
