Job Description: Meadowvale is seeking a driven and ambitious Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of Meadowvale’s dairy manufacturing plant and employees, as well as be an active member of the Meadowvale Management team. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated Professional looking for a company that is positioned for growth in the dairy frozen dessert industry.
The plant manager is charged with planning, directing, and/or coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and food safety specifications.
Plant Manager duties and responsibilities
- Accountable for production costs, labor utilization, yield, and operations improvement initiatives.
- Ensures adherence to the Company’s Food Safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices, including audit targets.
- Continuously improve the reduction of operating costs.
- Develops, recommends and implements changes in working conditions to improve employee performance and product quality.
- Maintain and build a productive and positive employee relations environment through effective implementation of positive employee relations initiatives.
- Develops, recommends, and implements Capital Improvement for plant, including the preparation and execution of a Capital Plant budget.
- Responsible for preparing and executing the plant overhead budget, and direct product cost targets.
- Manage the performance of the hourly and salaried team through effective implementation of Human Resources processes and policies.
- Set and meet all Health and Safety targets.
- Support Marketing and Product Development on new product initiatives
- Prepare and present Operations Performance Data to Board of Directors.

Required Qualifications

- 5 or more years of experience in plant management/operations or engineering
- Proven skills in leadership and supervision
- A demonstrated track record of driving exceptional results and key deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business, engineering, or related field.
- Dairy plant management experience preferred.

More Information:
This position is full-time, core hours M-F 8am-4pm cst. There may be some flexibility in typical work hours depending on office needs.

Salary : $140,000 - $175,000
