What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator position at Careers?
We are looking for driven individuals to contribute to the Welding and Fabrication of aluminum petroleum and dry bulk interstate transport trailers. Welding and/or fabrication experience is required. Applicants will be given a comprehension welding test at their interview to determine starting wage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Successfully demonstrate proficient welding capabilities during weld test.
- Set and operate welding equipment.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions with on the job training.
- Examine work pieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and work orders.
- Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, wire, and banding machines or hand tools with on the job training.
- Follow all company safety rules and practices.
Quarterly performance reviews in the first year, with the possibility of a raise at each review. Annual performance reviews thereafter.
Typical work schedule is 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with overtime as needed.
