Job Description
Science and Technology Corporation (STC) is seeking a Senior Supply Technician / Inventory Specialist (Associate) to work onsite at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) in Hampton, Virginia, supporting the D204 Branch. The position provides coordination and inventory support for fabrication activities, with primary responsibilities involving order tracking, fastener and flight-hardware documentation, receiving and inspection coordination, controlled storage, and inventory accountability.
The successful candidate will coordinate with NASA personnel, project teams, receiving and inspection organizations, and vendors to help ensure hardware is properly documented, traceable, inspected, stored, and available to meet project requirements. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate fabrication support services interagency to facilitate project integration into the D204 Branch.
- Facilitate D204 Branch center procedure compliance through monitoring and corrective actions based on CP 5514.
- Establish and populate spreadsheets for tracking orders from award through delivery at NASA LaRC.
- Manage fastener orders arriving at the NASA receiving department; verify lot traceability, proper documentation, and quantities, and work directly with vendors to correct orders as needed.
- Compile and store fastener documentation, including P-Card order logs or NSSC Award documentation, and complete LF290 documentation for MAQAL inspection.
- Transfer fastener orders from receiving to MAQAL and, when an inspection failure occurs, work directly with the vendor to resolve documentation, labeling, or lot-traceability issues.
- Provide updated order-status information to the Single Point of Entry (SPOE) and during project-specific meetings.
- Communicate current fastener status through both oral and written reporting during project meetings.
- Ensure proper storage of flight hardware in controlled storage.
- Ensure quantities of fasteners and machined hardware are correct in the controlled stores item log and keep the log current as items are received into or pulled from stores.
- Coordinate with projects to remove excess flight hardware and return applicable items to the BOSS system.
