Primary Functions & Responsibilities: Orders and maintains par levels for inventory in the Surgical Services Department. Understands and adheres to the OrthoVirginia Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. Conducts inventory counts, orders, and restocks items on a daily basis. Communicating with established vendors and staff in the department leads to ordering and maintaining surgical supplies that best meet the needs of the organization. Oversee inventory and order additional products and supplies when needed. Evaluate the selection and shipping process and work to improve efficiency and minimize cost. Keep up to date with industry trends and update inventory as needed. Work closely with the Purchasing Director and Surgical Services Director to maximize profit. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to multi-task with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional customer service skills and focus. Able to establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff payers and team members.
