Civil CAD Technician– River Recreation/Stormwater

This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled CAD professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team. We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment at a CAD technician level to help successfully deliver Muller’s numerous river recreation and stormwater projects.

Muller Engineering Company is located in Lakewood, CO, where team members have the opportunity to collaborate in person. Our employees follow a hybrid work schedule, with majority of employees based throughout Colorado’s Front Range.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provide drafting and plan production services during concept, design and construction phases on a variety of civil engineering projects including river recreation and restoration, drainage and flood control facilities, utilities, water quality, and structures.
• Prepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software as required, working from plan mark-ups and sketches.
• Work in a team environment being mentored and supervised by senior CAD staff and engineers.
• Ensure project deliverable packages adhere to company and client standards with attention to quality, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements: 

• Certificate or associate’s degree in Drafting/CADD Technology, or equivalent demonstrated experience in civil engineering or a related field. 
• 0 to 4 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Good understanding of surfaces, grading, and contours.
• SketchUp or other visualization program experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills.
• A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client’s overall project goals.

Salary Range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 dependent on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
