What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil CAD Tech / Civil Designer position at Front Range Civil Engineering?
Front Range Civil Engineering is a growing civil engineering firm focused on land development and infrastructure projects throughout Colorado. We work with architects, developers, contractors, and landowners to guide projects from concept to construction, with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service and producing high-quality deliverables and practical designs.
Applicant must be located in Colorado. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship (now or in the future).
Day in the life:
- Drafting site plans and exhibits
- Work with project manager to draft and design utility, grading, and erosion control base files
- Plan production
- Addressing AHJ, client, and internal redlines
- Quantity takeoffs
- Update and maintain CAD templates, layers, styles, and standards
Qualifications:
- Certificate or associate’s degree in Drafting/CADD Technology, or equivalent demonstrated experience in civil engineering
- 2-4 years Civil3D experience (alignments, surfaces, pipe networks, sheet sets, plan production)
- Good understanding of civil engineering plan sets
- Good understanding of surfaces, grading, and contours
- Self-motivated and resourceful with a strong attention to detail
