Job Title: PSC Greeter
Job Location: Garden City, NY
Job Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm.
Saturday 7am to 12pm.
Pay Rate: $20/hr. on W2
Job Summary
The PSC Representative is responsible for all front office duties within the Patient Service Center. This includes customer service, data entry, insurance billing and payments, problem resolution, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and ordering office supplies. This role may support multiple locations and may be cross-trained as a Patient Service Representative I (PSR I) to assist during high-volume periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Support patients with kiosk sign-in and ensure accuracy
- Contact clients to obtain patient orders
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Answer phone calls professionally, including company identification and a helpful greeting
- Follow established protocols for reporting customer complaints
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, mailing, and data entry
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with company policies, procedures, and manuals
- Assist with stocking office supplies
- Complete required training and participate in special projects as assigned
- Report to work on time and adhere to attendance guidelines
- Demonstrate organizational values and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
Preferred:
- Experience with data entry, keyboarding, and basic computer skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology (helpful but not required)
