POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The Unarmed Security Officer - P/T secures the facility under established operating procedures and processes.

Must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd and/or some 12-hour shifts when necessary; Weekend & Holidays included.
Enforce regulations designed to prevent security breaches.
Respond to alarms, complaints, incidents, violations, and suspicious activities.
Demonstrate the ability to take the appropriate action .
Secure/safeguard crime scenes and preserve evidence.
Perform access/visitor control duties.
Perform crowd control as required.
Perform personnel, vehicular and building facility checks, First Aid and CPR as required.
Complete all required reports, forms, and other documentation per established procedures.
Staff post continuously and provide access control.
Control access to restricted areas as required.
Report violations.
Direct and provide information to visitors.
Safeguard all assets.
Provide assistance as required.
Escort persons and equipment as needed.
Conduct foot/vehicle patrols as required.
Monitor unusual situations/conditions through personal or electronic surveillance.
Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOPs.
Secure all exterior building doors and windows.
Be familiar with "Post Orders" which outline responsibilities such as entrance/exit posts, roving posts, traffic posts, etc.

Payrate: $17.00 Hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma/GED.
Some College or Associates Degree Preferred.
Valid Driver’s License.
Must be able to receive an Alabama Security Regulatory Board (ASRB)
Must be able to pass a Background Investigation.
Must be able to pass a Drug Screen.
Must be able to pass a Physical Exam.
