Responsibilities

• Coordinate funeral arrangements, including planning services and managing logistics to ensure seamless ceremonies.
• Prepare and handle remains with care, including dissection, sanitation, and cosmetology procedures to meet families' wishes and industry standards.
• Assist with body preparation, including dressing, embalming support, and cosmetic restoration to uphold respectful presentation.
• Provide bereavement support by offering compassionate guidance and clear communication to grieving families throughout the process.
• Manage heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in transporting and setting up funeral services while adhering to safety protocols.
• Oversee event planning details for funeral services, viewings, memorials, or other related events to create meaningful experiences.
• Maintain meticulous records of all procedures, documentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support sales efforts by explaining service options and helping families select appropriate arrangements that meet their needs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist with body preparation and dissection processes.
• Experience or interest in bereavement support, customer service, event planning, or related fields.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with cosmetology techniques for restorative work on remains is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for providing compassionate support and detailed explanations to families.
• Willingness to learn funeral directing procedures through apprenticeship programs or relevant training courses.
