Position Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the nursing department, ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, and staff performance. This role works closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to create a supportive and resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to the nursing team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Oversee clinical operations, quality assurance, and infection control programs
- Monitor resident care plans and ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes
- Manage staffing levels and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Lead surveys and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections

Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
- Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
