Pay Rate: $21-$23/hr
Career Strategies is seeking an experienced Lead Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hot Springs, AR. This leadership role is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional with strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and high-quality property operations.
The ideal candidate will oversee maintenance operations, supervise maintenance staff, coordinate projects, and ensure apartment communities are maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assign daily work to maintenance staff
- Review and manage weekly maintenance schedules and priorities
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations
- Respond quickly to emergency repairs and breakdowns
- Monitor work order completion accuracy and equipment history records
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
- Help reduce repair costs and improve operational efficiency
- Train and mentor maintenance team members
- Maintain high standards for productivity, housekeeping, and safety
- Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions
- Promote strong communication between maintenance and other onsite departments
- Submit maintenance reports including labor, materials, tools, and completed repairs
- Support property redevelopment and large-scale maintenance projects when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
- HVAC/EPA certification and working knowledge required
- Experience with vendor coordination and scheduling
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures
- Computer proficiency and experience with maintenance systems
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage emergencies effectively
