Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team at our skilled nursing facility in the Shreveport area. The DON is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily nursing operations and clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain survey readiness and lead the facility through state and federal surveys
- Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, and infection control practices
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal resident care
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and staff development
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Louisiana
- Prior experience as a DON or ADON in a skilled nursing facility preferred
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
