What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - Residential Turnovers + (Carpentry Skills) position at Career Strategies - Alexandria?
A property management firm that oversees hundreds of locations in the Washington, DC area is looking for TWO skilled maintenance professionals to help their team.
The opportunity will allow you to work on a dedicated project to turnover apartments homes for new, incoming residents. You will need to bring your tools to the site daily, including hand tools & a drill, and have a well-rounded skillset to help diagnose issues, patch holes and hang drywall, and ensure that every detail of the home is perfect for move-in.
*This opportunity will begin on Monday, May 11th at 9:00am*
Schedule is Monday - Friday weekly; 9:00am-5:00pm daily.
The employees will need to have reliable transportation and a working cell phone.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in:
- Residential apartments or single-family home settings
- Plumbing repairs; identifying leaks or diagnosing issues
- Drywall; able to patch holes, secure loose 2x4s before hanging drywall, etc.
- Electrical; ensure lights are working and wired correctly
- Punch-outs & have excellent attention to detail
