What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Summer Intern position at Career Opportunities?
We are looking for candidates that have academic course work, completed projects or have prior work experience with:
Required:
- JavaScript programming for frontend development
- API knowledge
- Frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
- HTML/CSS fundamentals
- Strong web design principles
- Version control software (Git, Azure)
Preferred:
- Understanding of application development security principles
- Implementing authentication/authorization for a web application
- Figma design tool
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in any degree program (Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, Software Engineering or related field preferred) at an accredited college/university rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, or graduate students.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software platforms.
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
- DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia candidates preferred.
Dates and Details: This internship will run from mid to late May through Mid-August at 40 hours per week. Intern will report to senior team leaders. The team’s office hours are between 9am-5:30pm EST.
Benefits: Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
