Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment and facilities
- Assist with basic upkeep of pumps, valves, and mechanical components (no specialized repairs)
- Complete routine tasks such as cleaning, painting, and light carpentry
- Support plumbing and electrical work under supervision
- Maintain plant grounds, including mowing, trimming, and debris removal
- Perform daily inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Keep tools, supplies, and work areas organized and clean
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Follow all plant safety policies and procedures
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous maintenance, labor, or facility support experience
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Basic knowledge of building or mechanical maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in industrial, utility, or water facility settings
- Basic plumbing, electrical, or mechanical skills
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Safety-first mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing, bending, and working in various weather conditions
- Work may take place indoors and outdoors
- Occasional on-call or weekend work may be required
