Position Overview
A leading manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment is seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time, 6-month contract role in Bothell, WA. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of supplied parts and assemblies, helping to drive improvements across our supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Resolve and eliminate supplier-caused non-conformances in manufacturing operations.
- Implement design and manufacturing process changes at the supplier level.
- Conduct and document part and process qualification activities.
- Work cross-functionally to prevent supplier-caused part shortages.
- Lead supplier quality system and process audits to ensure compliance and quality needs are met.
- Monitor supplier quality metrics to identify and drive process improvements.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new suppliers.
- Attend departmental meetings, seminars, and training sessions to maintain professional competence.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in engineering, supplier quality, or a similar field within the medical device industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or life science discipline.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience with 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485:2016 standards.
Nice-to-Haves
- Master’s degree in engineering or life science discipline.
- ISO 13485 lead auditor certification.
- Experience working with and auditing domestic and international suppliers.
- Strong project management skills.
