We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join a hospital-based rehabilitation team in Nebraska. This position offers the opportunity to work across both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping patients recover from injury, illness, surgery, and other conditions while improving their mobility, function, and quality of life.
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient services. The PT will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals to deliver evidence-based care and support optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
- Treat patients in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital, state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning activities.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current and unrestricted Nebraska Physical Therapist License or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.
- Graduate of an approved physical therapy educational program and successful completion of the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE) as required by Nebraska licensure regulations.
- Must meet Nebraska licensure requirements established by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and Board of Physical Therapy.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred in some hospital departments.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills.
- Previous hospital, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or outpatient experience preferred but not required.
