Paraprofessional – Special Education Evaluation Support

Career Links is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Paraprofessional to support special education teams in a school setting. This is a unique role that focuses on assisting with the special education evaluation process rather than providing direct student support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a substantial workload.
Position Responsibilities
- Support special education staff with evaluation and assessment processes
- Organize, maintain, and review student files and documentation
- Prepare and manage testing protocols and evaluation materials
- Complete student observations and written summaries
- Assist with record management and file purging procedures
- Ensure compliance with district and special education documentation requirements
- Collaborate closely with special education teachers, school psychologists, and related service providers
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and information
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following highly qualified requirements:
- Pass the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Exam (Minnesota Para Educator Exam), OR
- Possesses at least 60 college credits and can provide official college transcripts
Preferred Skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
- Experience working in an educational or special education setting preferred
