Overview
A growing public accounting firm is looking to add a Tax Associate to their team and is open to considering candidates at the early to mid-career level.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare complex federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, businesses, and exempt organizations
- Assist with tax research to support partners and managers
- Perform tax projections and contribute to client planning strategies
- Support a range of tax-related projects as required
- Communicate directly with clients, addressing questions and providing guidance
- Assist with IRS and State Revenue correspondence and resolution matters
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA designation preferred, or actively pursuing CPA
- 3–5 years of experience in public accounting
- Experience preparing tax returns for both individuals and businesses
- Strong technical and computer skills
- Familiarity with tax software (experience with UltraTax is advantageous)
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
