A full-time CT / Radiologic Technologist opportunity is available on the day shift at a 198-bed Level III Trauma Center in Farmington, New Mexico. This facility serves the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, and provides comprehensive services including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, cancer care, nephrology, pediatrics, inpatient behavioral health, and advanced imaging. The hospital holds PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditations and functions as a regional referral center for high-acuity trauma cases.

The CT / Radiologic Technologist performs a combination of diagnostic CT imaging and general radiography within a fast-paced trauma environment. The department operates multiple GE CT scanners across inpatient and outpatient locations, supporting a high volume of emergent and scheduled studies. Responsibilities include performing CT exams with a focus on trauma imaging, CT-guided biopsies, and CT drainage procedures, while also providing general radiographic imaging as needed. The technologist must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and technical skill in serving a diverse patient population across all age groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT imaging procedures, including trauma-focused studies.

  • Conduct CT-guided biopsies and CT drainage procedures.

  • Provide general radiographic imaging across inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment (GE 64-slice, 32-slice, and 16-slice scanners).

  • Work within Cerner electronic medical record system for documentation.

  • Collaborate with physicians and radiology team members to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.

  • Support imaging needs for Level I–III trauma cases in a high-acuity environment.

  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and proper imaging protocols at all times.

  • Adapt to varying clinical demands across CT and general radiography modalities.

Qualifications:

  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography and CT required.

  • Experience with trauma imaging, CT-guided biopsies, and CT drainage procedures required.

  • Minimum of two years of acute care imaging experience required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon submission; additional certifications may be obtained post-hire as applicable.

  • Strong technical, critical thinking, and patient care skills in a trauma imaging environment.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
