We're partnering with a growing organization to identify a Business Finance Analyst who enjoys combining accounting, financial analysis, and business partnership in a fast-paced environment. This is a highly visible role supporting the financial operations of a dynamic business unit, with responsibilities spanning month-end close, financial reporting, operational analysis, and process improvement.

Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Support the monthly close process, ensuring financial results are accurate, timely, and well supported.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, payroll, intercompany, and other recurring transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and prepare supporting schedules for management reporting.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Support revenue recognition, expense tracking, and other core accounting activities.
Business Finance & Operational Support
- Analyze sales, margins, operating costs, and other key business metrics to support decision-making.
- Prepare recurring financial reports and dashboards for business leaders.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, expense management, and payment tracking.
- Partner with operations to validate financial data, monitor costs, and improve reporting accuracy.
- Support indirect tax reporting and compliance activities.
- Track vendor activity and help ensure timely processing of financial transactions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation, AI tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, financial analysis, or a related business role.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and working with large datasets.
- Experience analyzing high-volume transactional data and communicating findings to business partners.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Interest or experience using AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar) to improve efficiency and automate manual processes is a plus.
- CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
Preferred Experience
- Experience in high-volume, multi-location, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or other transaction-intensive environments.
- Exposure to sales and use tax reporting or multi-state compliance.
- Experience supporting operational business teams and partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
