A growing global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to join its finance leadership team in a high-impact role supporting both U.S. operations and international entities. This position offers the opportunity to help scale financial infrastructure within a fast-growing business environment while partnering closely with leadership across operations, accounting, and supply chain functions.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and comfortable operating in a dynamic manufacturing environment with multi-entity and international exposure. This role will oversee the full accounting function for a U.S. manufacturing operation while supporting global consolidations and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Lead all accounting activities for the U.S. manufacturing operation, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Own the general ledger and ensure accuracy across account, department, and location coding
- Oversee inventory accounting, fixed assets, capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations
- Establish and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and scalable financial processes
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and operational financial analysis
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support business decision-making
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple domestic and international entities
- Support global consolidation processes, including intercompany activity and foreign currency considerations
- Deliver recurring and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Manage and mentor a small accounting and finance team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and workflow enhancements
- Serve as an ERP power user and support system optimization efforts
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate external audit activities and manage audit deliverables
- Support tax compliance activities, including sales & use tax coordination with external advisors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Public accounting background strongly preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Experience with multi-entity consolidations and international operations is highly desired
- Strong ERP experience required; NetSuite experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
