Law and Motion Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has partnered with one of California’s premier plaintiff-side employment law firms, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and dedicated to protecting the rights of workers across the state. They have grown into a dynamic team of over 150 professionals in five offices, all united by their commitment to excellence, mentorship, and client advocacy.
We are seeking an experienced Law & Motion Attorney with at least 4 years of employment law experience. A background in legal research and writing is a strong plus, though not required. The ideal candidate is a skilled legal writer with substantial experience in employment law. This position calls for exceptional analytical ability and precise attention to detail. You will work closely with their litigation team to craft effective case strategies and produce high-quality legal documents that make an impact in court.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
- Collaborate with trial attorneys to develop tailored, compelling legal arguments
- Monitor developments in employment law, including new precedents, legislation, and judicial rulings
- Evaluate and interpret case law, statutes, and regulations to enhance legal arguments and strengthen case positions
QUALIFICATIONS:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in employment law litigation
- Strong experience in legal research and writing
- Demonstrated experience drafting persuasive legal briefs, dispositive motions, and appellate filings
- Outstanding analytical, research, and writing abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
- Proven capacity to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative litigation teams
