Position Summary
A custom precision machine shop in Athens County is seeking a motivated and reliable CNC machinist and programmer to join their team. This role offers a hands‐on environment with growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate or assist with operating manual lathes and O.D. grinder
- Conversational programming
- Support machining, fabrication, and shop production tasks as assigned
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
This is a direct-hire, full-time position hiring immediately. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 4:30 PM and Fridays are 7:30 AM to 11AM. Pay is competitive. This employer has PTO, paid holidays, and health insurance is available.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years machining experience
- Conversational control programming
- Experience with CNC lathes and CNC mill
- Experience with MasterCam is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
- Reliable, dedicated, and committed to high-quality work
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
