What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator (1st Shift) position at Career Connection Network?
Long term temporary opening with a local manufacturer for a Forklift Operator with at least two (2) years of experience. The pay rate is $19/hr. and the successful candidate must be able to:
- Work 1st shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00am - 3:00pm & Fridays 5:00am - 1:00pm mandatory overtime when available
- Safely and efficiently operate forklift in order to load and unload product as well as move product from one area to another
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for inventory tracking/order fulfillment
- Work closely with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Proven experience, at least two (2) years in forklift operation, along with experience in materials handling, inventory management and trailer unloading
- Familiarity with distribution center operations and warehouse management systems/good computer skills
- Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Experience in shipping and receiving, as well as order picking
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform heavy lifting as required
- Ability to work productively alone but still communicate clearly with production team when necessary
